What if your favorite meal started with the freshest cut? I’ve been behind this counter at The Butcher's Market of Cary, knife in hand, for years. Watching folks light up when they taste meat that actually tastes like something. Not that pale, pumped-up stuff from the chain. Ours? Dry-aged ribeyes with that perfect marbling. Grass-fed brisket that smokes like a dream. Lamb chops so tender they blush.

This ain't some sterile market. Smell the sawdust. Hear the cleaver thwack. We're defiant about quality in a world of shrink-wrapped lies. 4.6 stars from 506 reviews don't lie, people crave this. I source from local farms, hand-trim every piece. Custom cuts? You name it, I carve it. That cheese steak some rave about? Layers of shaved ribeye, dripping with provolone. Yeah, we do that too.

Cary's growing, but we're holding the line. No corporate scripts here. Just me, the crew, and meat that makes you swear off the supermarket forever. Come see. Feel the weight of a real steak. Your grill's been waiting.

What We Offer

Prime ribeyes. Dry-aged NY strips. Custom grinding for your perfect burger blend.

We smoke brisket low and slow. Marinate pork butts till they beg for the pit. Cheese steaks shaved thin, piled high.

Need sausage? We stuff it fresh, hot Italian, mild breakfast, chorizo with kick.

Seafood too: wild-caught salmon fillets, shrimp by the pound.

Everything portioned your way. Steaks thick-cut. Roasts tied tight. Come hungry, leave loaded.

"First off…. Management or corporate NEVER reach back out as they say they do. They don’t care about their customers. But anyways let’s dive into it….. Came in to order a cheese steak like I’ve done multiple times in the past…. For some reason the employee failed to mention that they were out of the sub rolls so he decided to just make me what he felt like making me without even confirming. To top it all off to be paying almost $16 for a sandwich and barely getting any meat or veggies (that I paid extra for) is unacceptable. Take a look below at this abomination of a cheese steak. Bet you guys $20 no one from management contacts me."

"First I’ll admit that my experiences have been fine up until this one and I’ve purchased from them at least a half dozen times. Always expensive, but typically worth it. Not this time unfortunately. If I spend $220 on 5lbs of meat there should be nothing left to trim. Perhaps like everything everywhere these days their quality has deteriorated. All I ask is that if you’re going to reduce the standard you do the same with the pricing."

"Overall Score: 5.6/10 – A food truck with friendly service and decent quality, offering a solid steak sub but a bratwurst that fell short in flavor and balance. Atmosphere and Service: 5.8/10 – The food truck setup was clean and approachable. The staff seemed nice and the service moved at a good pace. The menu was straightforward, with a couple of bold options that stood out. Bratwurst: 4.7/10 – A miss overall. The bratwurst itself was lacking in flavor and needed more seasoning or toppings to bring it to life. The roll didn’t pair well with the sausage, making the bite feel off. It could benefit from mustard, onions, or kraut to round it out. Steak and Cheese Sub: 6.4/10 – A good sub with flavorful steak tips that stood out. The meat was cooked well and had a solid, seasoned taste. A dependable and satisfying choice, especially for a food truck setting."

"Very clean with creative displays of their products. The staff is knowledgeable and most helpful. Highly recommend the butcher's market. We travel many hours to buy their products. They have the best beef, poultry, etc., not to mention their sides."

"The Butchers Market delivers outstanding meat quality - their steaks and marinades are truly superb, representing some of the finest cuts you’ll find locally. The difference in taste and texture is immediately noticeable. However, the pricing has escalated beyond reasonable market rates. At $20.99/lb for steak (up from $18.49/lb last year) and $8.99/lb for chicken, these prices significantly exceed even premium alternatives. For context, Costco’s prime filet runs around $15/lb at the Apex location. While I appreciate premium quality commands premium pricing, the current rates feel disconnected. The product quality remains excellent - it’s the value prop that’s become challenging to justify. Will continue to patronize - but it’ll be less frequent, sadly, as a result of the pricing."
